1) The Venue Managers have sets of bibs to be used by teams in cases of uniform colour clashes. These are washed after every session to be fresh for teams requiring them. Each year these sets diminish as bibs borrowed are not all returned, and sometimes entire sets disappear. New sets are another cost added to fees which should not be necessary. Please check all team bags for any stray bibs or sets of bibs which belong to North Canberra Futsal. 2) Each team is responsible for their team uniforms. That includes goalkeepers. There should be no need for teams to borrow bibs for the keeper as each team should have a numbered t-shirt or special keeper's top to be used for games. 3) The Venue Managers also carry minimal spare shin guards, keeping gloves and socks. These are not usually washed, but are available for loan in cases of emergency. 23-11-2009 : FUTSAL ETIQUETTE 1) After your game, please move your team away from the bench area as quickly as possible WITHOUT WALKING ON THE COURT WHILE THE NEXT GAME IS BEING PLAYED. The Venue Managers are constantly trying to get large numbers of people off the courts to avoid interrupting the next game. There is plenty of room for a team to move away in single file BESIDE the court, and supporters and family can leave as soon as the game finishes and wait in the foyer for their team. You as a player or coach get angry when others walk on the court during your game - please show other teams consideration and stay off their court as well. There is only a 2 minute allowance between games - to allow a longer, more leisurely changeover time means additional court hire costs, which in turn means increased fees which no-one wants. 2) Each team should bring their own ball to the game. If a team has misplaced their ball, additional balls are available for sale at $35 per ball. Any game where neither team has a ball will be declared a nil all draw as we don't carry spares. 3) If a ball goes onto the ledge above the courts, please don't clamber up the wall to retrieve it, or send a small child up. In the past a wall collapsed after someone climbed on it. The venue managers have a ladder to get balls down and appropriate insurance to cover that. 4) The cost of replacing or repairing the large lights above the courts is $600-$800. If teams or supporters are found to have caused their damage by wild kicking after a game, they will be charged the full fee for repair. 19-11-2009 : HOT WEATHER POLICY With the current hot weather it is important that players and spectators pay close attention to their hydration. To the right of this notice are Sports Medicine Australia's fact sheets on managing hot weather for those who would like suggestions on keeping safe during the heat. We will also have a drink break mid-way through each half of all games on any night or day when the weather is deemed to be excessively hot - check with venue managers and referees for details of this. There will also be signs up at the venue whenever this policy comes into force. In addition to adequate fluid intake before, during and after games, please consider other cooling measures - eg spray bottle for instant cooling, damp towels for players to cool skin, removing shin pads immediately after the game, etc. If players show signs of heat distress on the court, PLEASE SUB THEM OFF. 16-11-2009 : Unsupervised Children at Venues NCF have had some concerns over the past few weeks at the amount of unsupervised children that are being left at the venue. We don't mind parents dropping off their children if they are being supervised by another adult. When the children have a accident or a incident occurs and they approach us for assistance we discover their parents are not at the venue, it really raises the issues of duty of care and in this case the duty of care rests with the parents not the NCF officials. 3-11-2009 : WHY ARE THE GAME SCORES DIFFERENT? Despite extensive club grading where several teams have agreed to play where their skills are best developed, some Friday teams do not want to move due to having some younger players in the team. Some teams on Sunday cannot play on Friday. This has resulted in some teams being too strong for their age groups, with some game scores reflecting this. The club has decided in these cases to only publish scores to reflect a win by up to 10 goals. Additional goals scored by the team will not be entered onto the website, but may be used at finals time if they influence a team's final position in the age group. 1-11-2009 : CARDS - RED AND YELLOW All Red and Yellow cards are able to be viewed by clicking on the link on the right hand side of this page. After the 4th yellow card of the season a player is suspended for a match (a red is recorded for that game), and 2 yellow cards in one game also earn a red for a 1 match suspension. After a suspension is served, the player's cards related to that suspension are removed from the website. If a player's name appears on the website and the player or coach believe the suspension has been served, please contact the website or mobile for further information. 08-10-2009 : Venue location Gold Creek is located at Gold Creek School Senior Campus, Kellaway Street Nicholls Netball Centre is located on Northbourne Avenue at Lyneham 30-08-2009 : 2009/10 SEASON INFORMATION 1)Players will only be permitted to play in one junior team, either NCF or SCF, for the season. 2)No black shirts will be permitted, either for team players or for goal keepers. 3)All shirts must have printed numbers - no taped numbers - including the goal keeper. 4)No previous or current REPRESENTATIVE gear (outdoor soccer OR futsal - tops, shorts, socks or GK tops) will be permitted on court. This does NOT include club shirts, shorts and socks which may be used with permission from that club. 5)Div 1 Boys games 10-16 will be Friday night. Div 2 (10-16 boys and girls), Div 1 Girls (10-16), non-competitive (7-9 mixed) and minis (6 and under mixed) will be Sunday afternoon/evening, with the younger ones first. 6) All games are played at Lyneham Netball Centre. 7) The first round of games will be a grading round for competitive teams (ages 10 to 16). The committee reserves the right to play some teams in a different age group or division for this round if it is felt that the team would be better placed there. On the grading night or day, please discuss this with officials at the venue to make sure your team is correctly placed for the rest of the competition. 15-10-2008 : VIEWING AND DOWNLOADING FORMS Those who experience difficulties downloading and opening forms should note that to open some of the forms offered on the site they need to have additional software installed on their computers. Currently, we have one PDF file (FFA Amateur Player Reg. Form) and three DOC files (NCF Indiv. Player Reg. Form, TAP 2007 Information Form, TAP 2007 Registration Form) published. All of these can be downloaded by all users but can only be viewed/printed by those who have Adobe Acrobat/Microsoft Word installed. DOWNLOADING: If clicking on the file name does not offer a SAVE option, click on the file name and select the "Save Target As" option. OPENING THE FILE FOR VIEWING OR PRINTING: The PDF files require the free "Adobe Reader" which can be downloaded for all operating systems from www.adobe.com. The DOC files require Microsoft (Office) Word or a compatible viewer software product. If these instructions do not help, please email us with the details of your problem and we'll get back to you. 01-03-2009 : PLAYER INJURIES A reminder to all coaches, parents and players - when a player is injured on the court during a game, they SHOULD NOT be touched or moved under any circumstances unless directed by the Sports Trainer or First Aid officer. The game will not continue until this trained person is satisfied that the player can be moved safely without further injury. If the player is able to move off the court by him/herself, the game can then continue. NO game results are more important than the player's safety and well being. 17-10-2005 : NEED TO READ THE RULES OF FUTSAL? The rules can be viewed on the FIFA web site.
