We are looking for venue managers to run NCF venues for junior futsal competitions.
- The competitions are on Friday nights at Lyneham Netball Centre and Sundays at Lyneham Netball Centre, Daramalan College, Radford College & Gold Creek School
- Hours are variable, Friday nights, 4.30-9.30pm and Sundays there are several shifts between 8am and 8pm at the different locations
- The hourly rates are $18-$29 per hour depending on age, experience and position
The venue managers will report to the venue manager coordinator and will be responsible for ensuring venues are game ready and safe. Duties include:
- set up and pack down of futsal courts and front desk areas (manual lifting is required)
- point of contact for players, coaches and spectators
- preparation and checking of match cards
- provide a safe environment for all including on court maintenance, knowledge of evacuation procedures, unlocking and securing venues, assist referees and NCF committee members with any incidents on and off court
- provide first aid if sports trainers are not available
- retrieval of balls at half-time and full-time from Venue walls and ceilings (working at heights required)
- assist in ensuring that games are running on time including filling in as a referee if required
- regular monitoring of activities on and off courts and control entry and exit points
- other duties as directed consistent with the above
Successful applicants must have:
- Working with Vulnerable People registration/card
- First Aid Certificate (or willing to undertake course prior to season start)
Desirable skills for venue managers include:
- A current Drivers Licence as venue managers may need to travel to other venues
- Experience in venue or event management
- Knowledge of futsal competition rules or futsal refereeing experience
- Ability to work as part of a team and on your own
